Community Notice

RE: SNOWMOBILE TRAIL STATUS UPDATE

January 31, 2024 – Please be advised that the ice conditions on Lake Temagami continue to be poor for travel. Our Infrastructure Crew has been regularly checking the marked snowmobile trail. Ice measurements have not met our Ice Road Policy yet to get out to plow. We are getting close and will be working on a few spots in the next couple of days to help with the process. We will continue to monitor for changes and keep community members apprised.

Reminder to community that the Snowmobile Trail is open to SNOWMOBILE TRAFFIC ONLY. It is advised to NOT bring any automobiles (cars/trucks) across at this time.

Further, Shuttle Services are offered daily. Reminder that personal helmets for snowmobile shuttle services are mandatory. The Pick-Up/Drop-Off points are: TFN Band Office (Minowaabandan-gamiing Mawanjihidiwining) and the Mine Landing. Please ensure you book your trips by calling 705-237-8943 ext.101.

Please travel with care.

Should you have any questions, please contact John Charyna by phone at
705-237-8943 ext. 103 or by email to cim@temagamifirstnation.ca
