Community Notice RE: Fire Hydrant Flushing – June 14th, 2022
Please be advised that the Infrastructure Department will be Flushing Fire Hydrants. Residents affected will be those connected to the Water Treatment Plant.
When: Tuesday, June 14th, 2022
Hydrants are flushed periodically as part of our maintenance program. It is necessary to:
• maintain the integrity of the water system
• remove sediment from the water mains
• verify the proper operation of the hydrants and valves • maintain fire fighting capability
Residents can experience:
• a drop-in water pressure while the hydrants are being flushed
• you may experience discolouration
Although the water remains safe to drink, please run your cold water until it runs clear again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Should you have any questions, please contact John Charyna by phone at 705-237-8943 ext. 103 or by email to cim@temagamifirstnation.ca.
We thank everyone in advance for your cooperation.
